Threshold service via our “flex rate” scheduling option is an economical approach to in-home delivery that still provides the customer a convenient delivery experience by a furniture trained team, but saves money but not offering crew setup. At Blue Truck our “threshold” option includes room of choice placement.
Threshold delivery includes:
- Advance notice of delivery date, and the option to decline specific delivery dates
- A scheduled arrival window
- A call ahead by the crew, and a live GPS-enabled tracking link when the crew is on their way
- Room of choice placement (excess weight items may be an exception).
Room of choice placement includes:
- Dunnage removal & haul away (e.g. pallets, stretch wrap)
- The item will be placed in a room inside the customer’s home, as requested by the customer.
- The product will not be setup and will be left in its manufacturer packaging.
- The crew will photograph the item in the customer’s desired location, and can stay up to 10 minutes to facilitate customer inspection of the product. The crew will not help the customer unpack the item.
Threshold delivery does not include:
- The ability to select your own date, or request a specific time window
- Removal or re-arrangement of existing furniture not associated with the delivery
- Product setup or packaging removal
- Items requiring more than one flight of stairs or more than two delivery personnel are not eligible for interior delivery at threshold service and must be booked as white glove. If an excessive weight item is booked as TH service, the crew will bring the item as close to the residence as is possible with a two man team. For example, if there is a smooth pathway the crew may put the item on dollies and bring to the front steps; however if carrying the item up the steps requires additional manpower, then the item will not be carried up the steps.
