The following terms apply to all shipments tendered to Blue Truck. A written shipment contract between your company and Blue Truck supersedes these terms.

Rates will be determined by contract or as otherwise agreed upon by the parties in writing. If you book via the Blue Truck portal, the rate is shown at checkout and you agree to that rate by booking the delivery. Rates may also be quoted over the phone. Unless otherwise specified at time of booking, shipper assumes liability for transportation tariff. A late fee of 3% per month applies if payment is not received within 7 days of shipment delivery.

Inspect on delivery. Visible damage must be noted at time of receipt and a claim filed within 15 days. Concealed damages must be reported within 15 days and goods must be held in original packaging for inspection. No damage claims, concealed or otherwise, will be honored for any marble and/or glass items unless inspected and noted at time of delivery. Marble and glass must be properly packaged in solid wooden crates with adequate interior padding and any damage must be noted at time of delivery for damage claims to be honored.

Maximum shipment liability shall not exceed $5,000 unless agreed to in writing by Blue Truck. Maximum liability for damage due to handling error is the transportation tariff for the relevant shipment unless a value was declared and valuation coverage was specified at time of booking. For accounts not approved for post-payment, valuation coverage is void in the event payment is not received prior to delivery. Shipments are not eligible for refund once items have been picked up, regardless of adjustments to delivery location or requests to cancel. In the event of shipment damage you are ineligible for refunds of any kind if you ask Blue Truck to effect repairs or request return shipping, including to the merchant or seller.

You are purchasing a one-way shipping service; if your shipment is delivered to the consignee or delivery address and you then would like to have it picked up and delivered somewhere else, you must purchase additional shipping services. Any attempt to “refuse delivery” will be considered a request for additional shipping services and you will be liable for the transportation tariff.

Antique items, defined as any items manufactured more than five (5) years prior to shipment date, are ineligible for valuation coverage and any offer of valuation coverage is void unless authorized in writing by the CEO of Blue Truck. If you elect for valuation coverage for antiques, any fees will be refunded to you. Minor scratches on antiques are presumed to be present prior to shipment unless shipper shows time-stamped photograph evidence of condition at pickup. Antiques are often fragile and are prone to damage in transit due to the nature of the goods; absent proven negligence on the part of Blue Truck, damage to antiques occurring in the natural course of transit and handling are presumed to be due to inherent vice unless evidence of crew negligence is provided.

Please reference our valuation coverage policy for further terms related to damages and valuation coverage.
